Abstract
Analysis of the translation of the Greek verb diakonein (often translated as ’to serve’) with respect to women. In the New Dutch Bible translation of 2004 the word was translated as ’taking care of’ (namely Jesus) wherever women were the subject, but in the version of 2021 this error has been corrected in several texts, to that women are said to ’serve Jesus’ just as male disciples do.
