Abstract
The considerable fallout of practitioners in the field of Urban Mission is the ‘wound’ this research tries to address in the form of trainings which are modelled after pastoral supervision. Using cases we will ask the methodological question what we can learn from pastoral supervision about conducting research. Is it possible to understand pastoral supervision not only as a valuable way of learning by reflecting on work experiences, but can this method lend itself also as a theological research method?
