Description
This monograph explores developments in Christian theological thought and devotional practice in late-modern and contemporary Israel-Palestine. Integrating insights from the interdisciplinary dialogue between theology and anthropology with emerging trends in Palestine studies, it demonstrates how, for Palestinian Christians, religion has served as a site of meaning-making and adaptation amid profound historical change, violent conflict, and forced displacement. Drawing on in-depth ethnographic and microhistorical case studies, the book foregrounds lived, grassroots expressions of Palestinian Christianity that are often unfamiliar to Western audiences. In doing so, it sheds light on how Palestinian Christians negotiate tensions between inherited tradition and ongoing transformation.
